HILLSBORO (CNS) — Lotus B. Allen, 64, died at 1 p.m. Saturday (March 1, 1969) at the Medical Center Hospital in Punta Gorda, Fla. He had been living at Ft. Charlotte, Fla., and was a former resident of Lafayette. He was born May 8, 1904 at Salem, Ind. He was retired from the Monon Railroad. In 1951, he married Glee V. Haas, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, The Rev. Charles Allen of Bardstown, Ky., and Raymond Lee Allen of Bloomington; two daughters, Mrs. Irwin Villani of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Bonnie Housier of Bedford; a brother, William C. Allen Sr. of Monticello, and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Meade of Napoleon, Ohio and Mrs. Gail Brown of Courtland, Ind. Mr. Allen was a member of the First Christian Church in Lafayette, Salem Lodge No. 21, F&AM, the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, the Eastern Star Hope Chapter No. 5 in Lafayette and the Lafayette High 12 Club. Friends may call at the Zahn-Schneider Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery near Hillsboro. The family suggests that memorials be contributions to the heart fund.
